Show Your Patriotism Through These National Day Craft Workshops
When you think of August, Singapore’s National Day surely comes to mind. (or you may think “LONG WEEKENDDDD”. Sama Sama, eh.)
We, the people (pledge memories anyone?) at LolliBox, do have such fond memories of our past Singapore’s National Day themed craft workshops.
Check out the throwback below and see just how cute crafting with a patriotic theme can be!
1. Little Mr & Mrs Merlion
Definitely one of our all time favourites – who can say they have sewn a Merlion Plushie? Well those that popped by our National Day Craft Workshops can! Our sewing crafts are perfectly safe for kids – comes with yarn, pre-cut holes on felt and large plastic round-tipped needles!

Workshop Tip: This is also the perfect craft for some family bonding as the parent can assist to teach his/her kid in the threading. We have seen parental pairs having so much fun completing this plushie together!
2. Icons of Singapore Scratch Art Craft
This might be the best craft for one to unleash their creativity in the form of pattern creation. This craft comes with a black coating over a rainbow base – scratching it will reveal the colours (Hence, the name – Scratch Art) and give you the chance to do up amazing patterns! It can then be converted into a magnet or even a pin, we have had much fun finding uses for these iconic Singaporean silhouettes!

Workshop Tip: This craft can cater nicely to the very young to the old. Kids can easily scribble and the end product will still be quite beautiful!
3. Dragon Playground Puppet
Famed with locals in Singapore, we turned the dragon playground into a fun puppet for kids to play with! Simple and easy to create, parent and child can work together as a form of family bonding to make this craft!

Workshop Tip: Not only is it a craft that is perfect to engage parent and child, the end product can serve as a starting point for some imaginative play!
