Customizing Fantastic Activities for Children’s Season, Museums and more!

Been a fan of ours for a while? You would have noticed our regular work with the museums of Singapore! We love working with museums (for Children’s Season and more!) as it gives us the outlet to exercise our creativity within the constraints of their existing exhibits!

If you think “easy lah” when you think of customizing for museum, think again! Read on to see some of our past works with the renowned museums of Singapore!

#1 Little Scribe’s Table at Asian Civilisation Museum

For Children’s Season, ACM wanted to incorporate their exquisite Turkish Scribe’s Table that they have in their collection into their programme.

The team managed to create a mini version inspired by the original piece. This mini version is made of cardboard and uses stencils to create patterns just like how patterns are also found on the original scribe’s table.

#2 All About the Tang Dynasty

Inspired by the Changsha Bowls in the Tang Shipwreck exhibition in Asian Civilisation Museum, we created craft versions using air-dry clay. As common designs include fish, flowers and birds, our mock up uses simple floral motifs that are easy to start with for any participant!

#3 Celebrating 131 years of National Museum of Singapore

With such an event, it got us to thinking what makes NMS iconic. We think the facade is something that is beautiful and known to all and so, a wooden keychain version of the building was born.

Now, did we nail the recreation?

#4 FashBack from the Past

Inspired by the kerosang-style of the brooch, participants at the workshop got to create their own shiny, mesmerising wooden brooches. We provided golden paint to be as accurate as possible. These also come with pins at the back and is entirely wearable!

#5 Presentation of a Cheetah

For the Folio from Akbarnama Manuscript, we created a Cheetah plushie that was inspired by the scene depicted in this artefact!

See if we did a good job in representing the Cheetah here!
