Craft A SG50
THE BIG JUBILEE WEEKEND IS FINALLY UPON US.
Such a long weekend means thinking of activities for your own families to partake and we are sure with you will be spoilt for choice with so many ongoing SG50 activities and promotion happening islandwide!
Before you go to enjoy the best that the nation can offer this weekend, why not gather your children and make a Parade Wand. We think that’s is the best accessory to accompany your love for Singapore. Wave and swish it while taking part it in the Jubilee Celebrations this weekend; be it the actual parade or maybe a picnic at the marina barrage, this wand will fit in everywhere. J

Once you have these materials, we are ready to get started! 🙂
.
Step 1: Place the toilet roll on the white piece of paper and draw a square around it.
Cut the square out!
.
Step 2: Wrap the white paper around the base of the toilet roll. Use glue to attach it to the toilet roll. It wouldn’t look nice right now but it is fine! We will do some crafty magic to it! 🙂
Step 4: Draw the height of the toilet roll on a red piece of paper. Cut out a rectangle enough to cover half of the toilet roll.
Step 5: Glue the red rectangle onto the toilet roll. Draw in the crescent and the stars. Share with your kids what the different elements of the flag represents!
.
Step 6: Cut out random strips of red and white paper. Attach them to the open end of the toilet roll!
Step 7: Stick the wooden stick onto the base of the toilet roll
Congrats! You have completed the parade wand!
Now you are ready to parade around the house with your new craft! 🙂
