Live Virtual Craft Workshops – National Day (FB Live Edition)
Hello Fellow Singaporeans! Hope all of you had a good National Day celebrations! The team kicked off our celebrations with a fun Facebook LIVE Virtual Craft Workshops where we had a blast creating for their Heartbeat@Bedok’s fans on Facebook!
For the Facebook Live Virtual Workshops, we had even customised craft templates for each video that is available for download through a link provided. Viewers can easily print out the downloaded template to use during the Live Virtual Workshops.
The Facebook Live Virtual Workshops with Heartbeat@Bedok allowed us to reach out to a wider-range of participants to enjoy our classic workshops through the virtual platform.
You might think that there is a limitation to engagement for a virtual event. While it might not beat face to face interaction, you will be surprised at how interactive it can be!
Here is how we did it for our Facebook Live Virtual Craft Workshops, making full use of the various cool interactive functions:
Banners
For the Live Virtual Workshop, we created a custom banner that can pop in and out to help make the video more lively and less passive. For example, since it is a National Day themed Live Virtual Craft Workshops we will use the banner to share tidbits of information or fun facts about Singapore. It is a cute and simple way to make the Live Virtual Workshops more engaging!
Emoticons reaction buttons
The emoticons were really useful in engaging with the viewers in a fun and quick way! You can ask the viewers: “if you have watched the Facebook Live Workshops today, show us some love by clicking on the heart emoticons below.” And there, in an instant, you will have a quick answer from your viewers!
Live polls & questions
One thing people miss about on-site events is probably the instant reaction and interaction you get. Live Polls and questions allow you to get your viewers involved instantaneously and make them feel the same level of engagement as when they are at our events! You can see from how we interacted with them by asking viewers to vote for a colour for us to decorate the camera craft or through the way we ask questions to chat with them!
Good ol’ comment section
This function on Facebook is the most straight forward way you can get your viewers to engage with you. Simply by asking, “let us know in the comments below.” and you will be able to get you a good amount of interaction with the viewers!
