Virtual Family Day
Virtual Family Day

In a normal year, employers would have planned out retreats, family days and more to encourage and treat their employees. In 2020, with the pandemic, it is not not possible for things to proceed pre-covid.

Are you struggling to come up with ways to show appreciation to your employees?

We are here to help! Read on to find out how we can do this in a safe yet fun manner!

#1 Send love to your employee’s home

Take care to check on your employee’s as they work from home as it has surfaced that they can face more stress working remotely! Show that you are thinking of them by sending them a gift pack –

Here are some suggested ideas of what you can include in the gift pack  –

Care Package for everyone in the family!
LolliBox’s Customized Halloween Kit
  • Corporate-branded hand sanitiser
  • Corporate-branded reusable masks
  • Crafty kits for the little ones in the family
  • Some treats like snacks and drinks

These little things can help you to encourage your employees and serve to lift their morales in such times of uncertainty.

#2 Have a Virtual Family Day

Plan a family day to inject some interaction into your employee’s life and give them a chance to see their colleagues!

Virtual Events

Here are some ideas on how you can schedule your line-up –

  • 10 – 10.15am – Speech from employer
  • 10.15 – 11 – Game segment with prizes to be won
  • 11 – 12pm – LIVE Craft Workshop with instructor
  • 12 – 1.30pm – Lunch
  • 1.30 – 2pm – Magic Show / Music performance etc
  • 2 – 3pm – Second Game segment
  • 3 – 3.15pm – Closing
  • 3.15pm – End

For workshops, send them the kits in advance so that they can create together with the instructors. These will help to keep their attention and is something fun to do as well!

To take it one step further, why not deliver lunch directly to them? During lunch time, your employees can choose to eat and hangout together as well!

#3 Have a Virtual Welfare Week

Attention span is quite a concern for Virtual Events as it is very easy for everyone to switch tabs and focus on another activity. Thus, to maximise the interaction, why not consider having a Welfare Week where there is a short programming daily?

In this way, it breaks up your employee’s days and gives them something to look forward to!

Virtual Craft Workshop
Create your own plushie workshop and/or
create bentos with Little Miss Bento!

A suggested programming can go like this –

Mon – Latte Art Workshop to start their mornings

Tues – Virtual LIVE Craft Workshop after lunch to get their creativity going

Wed – Bento Making for them to make their own lunch

Thurs – Department Game during the afternoon to inject some levity to their week

Fri – Family Friendly Virtual LIVE Craft Workshop for some family bonding
