These Mother’s Day Activities Were Loved By All: Celebrating All Mothers @ HDB Malls

May was a month full of love and appreciation for our mothers!

We launched the Celebrating All Mothers campaign in honour of Mother’s Day, a 2-week campaign full of fun Mother’s Day activities that happened concurrently across 18 HDB Malls. From creating meaningful crafts and giving out flowers, we had two wonderful weekends of spreading joy to all mothers!

To kick off the campaign, we designed marketing collateral and released social media posts across Instagram and Facebook to invite mothers to drop by the event. Check out the main event collateral below:

Now, let’s talk about all the amazing Mother’s Day Activities we organised!

1. Mom & Me Treasure Hunt

Event participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves with this thrilling Treasure Hunt activity!

Hidden around the mall were three treasure chests, each containing a fun puzzle to solve. If participants answered the puzzles correctly, they would win a voucher!

This activity was a great way for families to bond as they had to work together to find and solve the puzzles. The young ones especially loved the chance to run around in search of the chests.

The treasure chests also drew the interests of passersby and encouraged them to participate in the mother’s day event.

2. Mother’s Day Gift Making Station

This station was extremely popular among mothers who love plants!

To encourage shoppers to patronise the mall and try out HDB Mall’s ShopperLink App, each plant pot could be redeemed with ShopperLink points or with minimum spending in a single receipt.

Upon redeeming a potted plant, participants could repot the plant into a coloured plant pot of their choice, and customise it with a message. It was the perfect gift to mothers!

3. Hourly Craft Workshop

Children had the chance to show their appreciation for their mothers by making gifts for them at the hourly craft workshops!

Every hour, we had a new and fun craft activity for parents and children to try out together, including a hanging ornament, a wooden keychain and felt plush.

Parents and children had the chance to bond as they worked together to complete the craft.

4. Appreciate My Mom Photo Contest

Love for mothers was not only spread in person, but online as well!

We proposed a Facebook giveaway contest to increase social media engagement for HDB malls. Followers of the respective Facebook HDB Mall pages could stand a chance to win prizes by sharing what they admire the most about their mother, what their favourite dish by their mother, and more!
